Larry Allen, a Pro Bowl guard who helped the Dallas Cowboys win Super Bowl XXX, died Tuesday at the age of 52. His agent, Ken Kremer, confirmed the news to USA Today.

Allen was born in Los Angeles on November 27, 1971. He played college football at Sonoma State University, where he was a two-time All-American.

Allen was drafted by the Cowboys in the second round of the 1994 NFL Draft. He quickly became a starter and was named to the Pro Bowl seven times. He was also a member of the NFL's All-Decade Team for the 1990s and 2000s.

Allen retired from the NFL after the 2007 season. He was inducted into the Cowboys Ring of Honor in 2013.

Allen's death is a loss for the football community. He was a great player and a great person. He will be missed.
