Heathers the Musical Returns to London in 2024
Following a Smash Hit West End Run
The cult musical Heathers is returning to London's West End in 2024, following a smash hit run at the Theatre Royal Haymarket in 2018. The show, which won Best New Musical at the WhatsOnStage Awards, will play for a limited six-week season at the Other Palace from 15 February to 24 March 2024. Tickets go on sale at 10am on Friday 23 June.
Based on the 1989 Film
Heathers is based on the 1989 film of the same name, which starred Winona Ryder, Christian Slater, and Shannen Doherty. The musical tells the story of Veronica Sawyer, a high school student who joins the Heathers, a group of popular and cruel girls, in order to get revenge on her bullies. However, Veronica soon realizes that the Heathers are not as perfect as they seem, and she must choose between her own morals and her desire for popularity.
The musical features a score by Laurence O'Keefe and Kevin Murphy, and a book by Laurence O'Keefe and Kevin Murphy. The original West End production was directed by Andy Fickman and choreographed by Gary Lloyd. The cast included Carrie Hope Fletcher as Veronica Sawyer, Jamie Muscato as J.D., Jodie Steele as Heather Chandler, Georgina Hagen as Heather Duke, and Vivan Reed as Heather McNamara.
