Justin Jefferson New Contract

Vikings, Justin Jefferson Agree to Record-Setting Contract Extension

Jefferson Becomes Highest-Paid Wide Receiver in NFL History

Four-Year, $140 Million Deal Includes $110 Million Guaranteed

The Minnesota Vikings and star wide receiver Justin Jefferson have agreed to a massive contract extension, making him the highest-paid wide receiver in NFL history. The deal is a four-year, $140 million extension that includes $110 million guaranteed, according to reports.

"We are thrilled to announce that we have agreed to a contract extension with Justin Jefferson," said Vikings general manager Kwesi Adofo-Mensah in a statement. "Justin is one of the most dynamic and talented wide receivers in the league, and we are fortunate to have him as a member of the Vikings. This extension shows our commitment to building a championship-caliber team and keeping Justin in Minnesota for the long term."

Jefferson, 23, is coming off a breakout season in which he led the NFL in receiving yards (1,809) and receptions (128). He also scored eight touchdowns. The Pro Bowl selection has quickly established himself as one of the most dangerous playmakers in the game and is a key part of the Vikings' young and promising offense.

"I'm so excited to continue my career with the Vikings," said Jefferson. "This is a special place, and I'm grateful to the Wilfs and the entire Vikings organization for believing in me. I'm committed to helping this team win a championship and bring a Super Bowl to Minnesota."

The Vikings are hoping that Jefferson's extension will help them take the next step as a contender. The team went 13-4 last season and reached the NFC Divisional Round but lost to the New York Giants. With Jefferson locked up for the long term, the Vikings can now focus on building around him and competing for a Super Bowl.
