19th August 2023
Brighton Hove Albion continued their impressive start to the Premier League season with a dominant 4-1 victory over Wolverhampton Wanderers at the Amex Stadium on Saturday afternoon.
Neal Maupay opened the scoring for the hosts in the first half, before goals from Leandro Trossard, Marc Cucurella, and Deniz Undav sealed the win for Brighton in the second half. Fabio Silva's late consolation was nothing more than a mere consolation prize for the visitors.
The result leaves Brighton in fourth place in the Premier League table, while Wolves drop to 18th place after their second consecutive defeat of the season.
